Took me a while to do Fennekin because I had no idea what to do with him. I knew I wanted to go with the 'noble' idea, and I maybe wanted to add a big poofy tail skirt...but that idea didn't really work for both genders so I split it between the two.

The names are bad and I feel bad. Also they ended up looking more macaw-like than I anticipated. But oh well!

My ideas are that the female evolves to be a special attacker and the male is physical.

I love this i wished that was their final evolution and i wished they made diffrences between male and female more obvious like this instead of one little diffrence that may not even be there.

I like the designs here, and love Flaregant, however...
Dignifire would need to have the same gambit as the Nidoran lines, where they are two very clearly distinct species in name, (like how we have Nidoran Female and Nidoran Male) in order for them to have different stat spreads and level-moves.
In addition, you would only have a 1/8 chance of getting the special attacking female because of Starter Gender rates.

And about thinking a design being too effeminate for male pokemon... um... I point to Gardevoir, Gothitelle, Ninetales and Delcatty? Especially Gardevoir and Gothitelle.

Well I dont think they'd ever use designs even close to these in pokemon games. They're just my own takes for fun. I didnt apply mechanics to them or anything like that.

True. And honestly they're pretty enough that I don't care. I just thought I should inform you about the problems with making the stats different.
(I actually really like the female Dignifire design. Its got such a refinement to it.)

If the final evolution isn't officially named 'Dignifire' then I'm renaming that guy so quickly.

These are wonderful! The direction you took in terms of the nobility line is awesome. I really love Flaregant and the male Dignifire especially (And I really like the names, by the way)

I like how you're one of the only people who are thinking about how Gen VI is based in Europe. Too many people are interpreting Fennekin and Froakie with Asian styled evolutions even though it makes no sense in the European based background.

I point to Gen V being based on New York and New Jersey area and Samurott being a Samurai and Serperior being based on French royalty. Just because the region is based on a particular area doesn't mean that the pokemon there have to have their designs based on that area.

I know, but its becoming very repetitive, and there are far too little designs based on Europe or at least other areas.
